Advanced Acting Techniques builds upon the foundations developed through personal acting experience, or the successful completion of workshops such as Introduction to Acting, Acting I, and Acting II. Prior acting experience, or college level acting classes may be accepted in place of some of the lower level acting classes generally required for admittance to the program. An in depth discussion of the various methods of acting and performance, with scene dissection, script analysis, and method of story delivery examined for the purpose of determining the optimum performance criteria. In depth analysis of selected scripts with performance tapings, audio extraction, improvisation, character research, psychological profiling, and historical research. As with all Actors Institute workshops, practical business applications will be discussed throughout.
