Preparing the new actor for the challenges of
live theater, or refining the skills of actors that have made many live
theatrical stage performances; Acting For The Stage is extremely appealing to
those that participate in Community Theater, as well as those that have made
their presence known on the paid stage. Basic techniques of stage performance
are covered as well as advanced techniques of character representation. This
class may be divided into skill levels to achieve more individualized attention
based on experience, or blended to allow for training in the support of fellow
actors on the stage. Time will be devoted to seeking employment, self marketing,
union & non-union venues available to the stage performer, and audition
techniques.
