Introduction to Acting was developed for the adult, or teenaged person, interested in exploring acting as a profession, or as an active pleasure pursuit. Suitable for persons with no prior acting experience or training, those that may be returning to acting after putting it aside for other pursuits, or actors that have had difficulty acquiring gainful employment in the acting profession. Using scene study, life experience, and imagination each participant will learn to identify and portray character, explore emotional content; use physical and verbal expression to enhance character representation. A detailed examination of the business of acting, headshots, resumes, self promotion, methods of obtaining work, unions, agents, talent managers, and the costs involved in operating your own business. The Introduction to Acting Workshop will demystify the process of making acting a profession, and enable you to realistically make acting a full time career choice.
Enrollment: Limited for individualized attention
Meets Once per week, for five weeks, two hours each meeting
